Consider Disobedient Objects tone of voice and message/concepts to inspire ideas.

See Disobedient Object files on estudio for content and dummy text, its often common for stock images and text to be giving to you and is the responsibility of the designer to think of a concept and visual resolution that works with these given restrictions.

Produce 1 minimal text and image resolution in the form of an A5 flyer and conceptually relevant extension eg posters, tickets, way-finding.

Produce a text heavy concertina spread consisting of 10 A5 pages.with extension into other relevant deliverables.

Maintain good flow of information within a considered hierarchy of type and image
Create a distinction an focus on materials from the North as opposed to London V&A based content.
Work from focused definitions of the exhibition and its content
"Disobedient objects are often carefully designed solutions to problems face by activists on the ground, in the midst of social and political movement around the world"

Concept
Taking influence from the make shift materials and DIY solutions used by activist groups the resolution will reflect ideas of rebellion through visuals that explore and represent these DIY and how to guide solutions as a means of solving or raising awareness to political and social issues.

Scamps & Ideas
Motion was emulated through my scamps and the deconstructed layouts to show progression, a key focus and aim of activists when protesting for change.
Contrasting angles and positioning show rebellion.
Flipping rebellion on its head and exploring neat, organized layouts through a set grid system will show an idea of rebellion.
Contrasting deconstructed elements with constructed elements and organization visualize an idea of progression which reflects the idea of how to guides and the proposition of solving problems as design comes together in an organized and structured way.
Emulate ideas of positivity.
Visualize an offensive tone of voice as a method of expressing rebellion.

Digital Resolution
The final digital response expands on the scamps with the addition of varying type sizes that shows progression as a way of showing change.

"-" glyphs act as a reference to steps (how to guide), combine this with the spaced leading as a reference to gaps to fill which emulates problems to solve.

The bright green uses its bright tone as a way of expressing positivity while the black and white scheme contrasts the idea of positivity with the system of contrasting colors visualizing progression as the leaflet folds out.
