Typeface manipulation and creation plan
From my quickly edited letter form I have gathered a concept style to carry on through with my other letterforms. This will be to square the apex off, round off the joints and create steady curves on the serifs narrowing off to a squared off point on the ends.
This style will determine for the rest of the letterforms and here is an example of the first rough one.
Below is a quick draft on how my letterforms are to be created as mentioned in the plan above. There is an obvious difference in characteristics when compared together, the curves inside the letterforms on the joints create a smoother effect in the bold compared to the light due to the aperture size of the counter. and the extending of the serifs create a more sturdy structure on the bold typeface but the lightweight one looks out of proportion. I will change this through development of tweaks within these changes.
