Type Journal 

Production method: Woodblock. 
Anatomy: Lowercase, heavy line weight, condensed and thin negative space on the 'p', even width on 'e' counter, angled off cut on terminals, only slightly though so looks accidental. 
Identity: Some awful neo grotesque sas serif. Block or Gothic. 
Character: Tilted, perspective, warped, bold, awful, random, visual disaster, outlined, too closely kerned, inconsistent   

Production method: Bone. 
Anatomy: Constant following of baseline apart from x that perturbed over with a tapering extension of the 'x's leg, sharp flicks at the end of terminals from the bone drawing method. Sharp edges to the 'o' looks like a diamond, contrasts with a smooth circular coiner. Ornate extension of the 'B' vertical stroke that interacts and intwines within the Bowl of the B, wich is one constant negative space instead of 2 individual counters like this "B"
Identity: Blackletter/Lombardic. Or formal Script.
Character: Beautiful, sharp, medieval, traditional, carved, contrasting. 

Production method: Sable. 
Anatomy: Lowercase, joined up ligatures, contrasting line weights, the lines that join each glyphs are a little thinner. Soft edges on joints and end of terminals. 
Identity: Casual script. 
Character: Joined up, neat, soft, inviting, illegible though.
