Type Journal
I really like this use off sans serif typography found on one off my jumpers. Its so clean and structured with its sharp angular edges found on the curves creating almost rectangular glyphs.
Production method: I would say block print due to the sharpness and the robustness off the glyphs.
Anatomy: Structured rectangular glyphs, sharp 45 degree angles on the curves of the O's, condensed glyphs like the T, very short cross bare compared to the vertical ligature/stem.
Identity: Modern with hints off traditional shapes that remind me somewhat off old signage found on the side of war items like guns or ships. In use here on a garment by Indscn a local Leeds clothing company.
Character: Structured, sturdy, square glyphs. military inspired.
Really like this typeface itsnicethat use on there blog. It looks like a manipulated typeface to me with the top of the 't' strokes angled off.
Production method: The origins of this would be from the sans serif family originating from lead typesetting.
Anatomy: Condensed letterforms, the c,s bowl is especially condensed. The top of the stroke on the 't's has a angular element spliced off.
Identity: Very modern and minimal.
Character: Thin, condensed typeface, very elongated.
